1968 Ford F250 Camper Special Truck (UPDATED 12/03/09)

Post by 1982 flareside »

I got a 1968 F250 Camper Special today for FREE! My uncle had it back in his field and we went deer hunting and i seen it and ask him about it. He said " Well i will give it to you if you do some thing with it." I said "Yeah i will take it." I drove his truck up to the field and put a battery and some gas in it. Pull the choke out and it started and ran perfect. It has a 360 with a holley 2 barrel carb. 4 speed 373 dana 60. Pics coming soon

Here the pics we load it on to the trailer and bought it back to the house. We took all the filters off and change them, we took the fuel pump filter off and look in it the orginal filter was in and it was half full of rust. We seen it and clean it out. I said to dad "That tank is probably rust it to H*LL." We took the tank out and it was rust free. I was very surprize.

We work on the brakes today and it pull to the left a little but it will work for the farm. My Grandma lives across the field. She has a wood stove and she called me needing wood we had some split and ready. I put the wooden rails in the truck and loaded so much wood the tires was a inch away from the inner fender. My uncle came over in his 1962 Dodge D200 3/4 camper special and he loaded his truck about the same and he had a lot less wood. His truck have a 318 poly with 3 on the tree with that load it was having a hard time hauling that load. My 360 4 speed had no trouble pulling it. I LOVE MY FORD TRUCK.
