Time to pick out a new truck then.

I've been trying to get a new chain of car flips started so I can have some cash to pick up a bump somewhere in between. I now have a Suburban for a family hauler and it's good to pull a tow dolly or auto transport so I can start visiting impound auctions and pick something up, bring it home, nurse it back to life, sell for a profit, and repeat. No more ludicrous towing costs or hook fees or mileage charges which is what ate up the profits on the last two I tried.

There is one good deal near me, if you want two trucks, should be enough bits to make one nice one and one beater. $850 takes both a 69 and a 72 F100, 69 is Ranger, all white in and out, has 302, auto, new brakes, headers, exhaust, decent body, no rust, has title and was leaking water from the timing cover (front of engine taken apart to repair). 72 is Ranger XLT, green&white 2-tone, has 360/auto, 70K on engine rebuild, runs if sprayed, carb/tank is gummed up and no title, but perfect dent free body and all the trim is accounted for.

Too bad if you're in NC, but you guys have a lot of bumps there I wish I had here.

Nice trucks! I have a great 302 with HEI dist, holley 4bbl, and 5k on the rebuild with a c6 auto behind it that I bought to put in the f100. I didn't sell it with the truck, so... perfect excuse to buy another!

Got the new ford home. In better shape body-wise than my last and the auto trans is much easier to drive but the 360 has a major valve tap on the driver's side and leaks a good bit of oil. Runs good though. It has PS and PB the PS doesn't have a belt though and the pump feels "lop sided" when turned by hand. It doesn't steer too terrible without though. I am the 3rd owner and got all the original paperwork, with the truck. I think the biggest downside for me is that both bumpers are bent.

I noticed on the Ranger xlt the bump trim is twice as wide and has the wood grain stickers in it. All my wood grain stickers are faded and crappy... Are these easy to find?

I missed my last truck so much after selling, I tried to buy it back for more! They said no. Anyhow, here's the replacement.

Sorry I been missing for a while. BUSY! My employer got bought out and I've been crazy busy. The ol' 72 is still going, had a rear brake adjust break and need to pick one up, but otherwise she's doing well.. I gotta be honest, the 360/auto is easier to drive, but no where near as fun as my old 390/4spd!!! :-)

Well I found a seat from a 96 F150 choo choo custom. Black leather, looks decent. I swapped the tracks and bolted her in...... Man is it comfy!! Only problem is since I don't sink in the seat anymore, the steering wheel rubs my legs. Time to find a tilt column.
