first time post
just joined the forum. Hoping it will help me in restoring my mom and dads 1972 f-250 xlt camper special that i bought from them last week. First thing I am looking into is having the motor rebuilt. any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, the engine is 390 cid.

SOLD-71 F-350 dually flatbed, 302 / .030 over V-8 with a "baby"C-6, B & M truckshifter, Dana70/4.11 ratio, intermittent wipers, tilt steering, full LED lighting on the flat bed, and no stereo yet (this way I can hear the rattles to diagnose)! SOLD!
Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!

Welcome from Montana! The first thing I would do is get a set of shop manuals. You can get them on E-bay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Ford-F100- ... da&vxp=mtr
I used a Chilton manual to overhaul my engine. I also used a lot of advice from the people at the parts store and customers who were there at the time. I didn't know about shop manuals or Fordification.com at the time.
