1969 F100 in ILL

Hi All,

Brought this back from CA years ago, and now have the time to start improving mechanical and cosmetics.

1969 LWB, 360 C6 auto, fact air, ps, pb, 2 aux tanks.
Replacing steering box now. Rebuilding column too.
Needs chrome back bumper, OE style seat covers, ......

Nice ride. Good luck with your project! I wish mine was in that good of shape when i got it :(

Keep relatively stock looking, more power, good exhaust, reliable.
Runs great with original 360. A/C works great.
Have a complete 390 in storage. Needs freshening plus some light power upgrades. Maybe next summer.
Like to keep running with original patina paint for as long as possible, with just a few repairs.
Keep dog-dishes that it has now, just need one stainless trim ring.

Freshening up steering right now. Learned that this truck is one of the exceptions to the internet "rules".
Built in May 69 in CA, most places, but not all, say it should have had a Ford steering box. No. It had it's
all original sloppy Bendix steering box. Paid $$ to have a real rebuild, not just seals.
Detailing steering box area now for the install. Can't wait to try it out.

Hello from Southern Illinois!
1968 swb hydroboost, ididit tilt column, Saginaw p/s pump with F series serpentine, all led lights, Vintage Air and painless wiring. 393w, tko600. CV front suspension w/c5 calipers and gt500 rotors. Stock Flexomatic leaf springs with 01 CV 8.8, 3.90 gears and Auburn locker. Custom wood bed floor. Full frame off resto-mod.
