newbie C4 question

Post by joebig »

I have a 1969 F100 LWB with a C4 automatic transmission (or that's what the tag tells me) I am planning to put a slide-in popup camper in it. It's about 1000 pounds give or take. It will be below the GVW. Am I playing with fire with the C4 or do you think it can handle it.

Thanks
Thanks,
Joe

A C4 has a square pan. C6 has a Texas shaped pan. Should be fine either way as long as you have a large external cooler
'68 SWB custom cab Bump. Under construction.
