The cab and nose is pretty much done, they are finishing the bed and tailgate. While the guys are doing that I am building a fresh 445 FE somewhere around the 450 hp mark.
Some pretty pics
Cab has not been cut and buffed yet, the last shot has I had some time today so all the bolt on parts are finished and waiting in the attic. (BTW Mrs Stang saw this pic by phone and asked if the parts were in our bedroom LOL, close, attic off the walk in closet)
It's looking very pretty, and should look even better with a fresh 445 under the hood!

Thanks, can't wait to see how the motor does, got some good flow out of the iron heads, 270+ cfm on the intake side. With A 10:1 445 inch FE, RPM intake, headers, and all the usual hotrod stuff, should do pretty good.
Love the way the heads worked out, aftermarket undercut stem CJ valves, D2s hogged heavily to loosely match med riser ports, should be a healthy one

Hoping to get the motor in the frame this weekend, but got some honey-dos to do as well.
Here's some pics as it sat today though!
Can't wait to hear a stout 445 FE barking through the 3 inch mandrel bent duals!

Should be the better side of 450 hp, should be a fun ride.

LOL they went up in the attic, but believe me, she saw that pic while she was at work and gave me her opinion!
When it gets a little closer to fire up you should come check it out. If nothing else, someone will be around to bail me out when my snooty neighbors call the cops during cam break in with dual 3 inch pipes!

I might just have to do that!
My brother-in-law and his family live in Omaha. They live on the west side at around 144 and El Dorado, not too far from Boys Town. Their middle son is exactly 6 months, to the DAY, younger than my son. We tease the boys that they must have planned it that way!
Your truck looks great! Maybe someday Frodo will look that good!

Red Green
Rear window in, stickers have been there since the late 80s!
The LMC truck window seal was a nice one, fit very tight and was nice soft rubber. Even managed to get the seam directly centered under the Hooker Headers sticker
A couple of them are peeling, will replace with some from the modern build.
Keep in mind, it was a rowdy built 306, a 351W, a mild 360, a healthy 390 with nitrous and a Predator, and now should be a VERY healthy 445, the stickers are sort of like a Facebook timeline LOL
Stickers may seem corny, but the truck has always been a little of a wild child, I consider the stickers like a lower back tattoo on a hot girl

I sure will! It sounded good with the 397, but with more compression, better breathing and 48 more cubes it should have a little bite to it!

At least it is IN the truck, and not sitting next to it!
I have over 70 days of leave on the books, December I'll take a few days off and wrap it up! Until then, a couple hours here and there is the best I can do

As soon as we shoot the inner fenders and radiator support I can fire up the new 445!
