69 grill
so for a while now i have been dreaming of the day when i may be able to put a nice shiny grill on my 69. i've looked all over but all i ca find are ones in worse condition than mine that people want like 400 dollars for. but whenever i see fully restored trucks it makes me wonder where people are finding these grills. does anybody know where to find a new grill?

.....67 to 69 grilles are a beast unto their own. Not a lot of options when using one.....and none of the options inexpensive for show or just for an upgrade resto quality.

Re: 69 grill
i learned that no one reproduces the grills because of the ford original tooling gone sour in the ford plant fire. It would not be cost effective for anyone to fabricate the tooling to repop the things. I am in the process of pounding dents out and sanding my grill and bezels. I been finding out that this will be a very long process. I just finished one of the bezels and i guess i have around 8 hours in it. I must say it looks damm good. Now for another 50 hours in the other bezel and grill. I know i can purchase the bezels new, but i rather spend the hours repairing then spend the funds it takes to buy new ones.

Re: 69 grill
Something I noticed at a meet and greet a few months back is that the new bezels dont exactly match the originals in some cases. At least in the aluminum version. There is a slight difference in the forming of the metal. A member here....WRKJim pointed it out to me on his truck. If I recall correctly he had one of each on his truck. Otherwise I would have assumed it was stock. But there is a difference.
