back! Cool mod! What'd you do to the rear? Move the springs below the axle?

yep just what i did move the springs below the axle. made my own spring perches 1/4 inch taller, so with the box back on will have a slight rake to it, dropped the front about 8 inches and the rear 6 3/4 inches should look pretty good
Looks good! I like the stance. Congrats! Nicely done.

yes you don't see much of the springs only 2 to 3 inch's of them. but there is spring's there, i did cut two coils off of them to get it down were i wanted it to be.
this were i'm at right now working on c-notching the rear frame, had to cut the lower lip of the frame and weld in some new metal so it could be boxed, the lower lip is curled down so the shock can clear the frame . all the metal is 1/8 steel plate that i used, going to relocate the rear shocks , not sure were yet still thinking on that one.

thanks sargentrs, working as much as i can on it with out the wife getting to pissed at me but she is very under standing when it come's to my project, also she is willing to jump right in there to help when i need it, she can weld and do some body work with my help showing her what to do, she been watching pretty close so i don't over do it , with my heart she don't take a chance , having a heart cath next week so she is a little worried so she is the boss right now , but you know how we listen to the boss..
i guess i should start from the beginning, i bought the 69 ford truck in 2006 from the son of the original owner, been a farm truck all its life doing what most farm trucks do hauling hay and feed and pulling a fence post here and there. the truck was all original 240 six with 3 speed on the column manual steering and brake's, had a set of mud grip tire's on the back on the stock rims and 6 ply tire's in the front with the stock hub caps, been repainted one time that i could tell and that is what the paint is on it now a drab looking red, has a few bubble spot's on the front lower fender's and lower part of the door's, the bed has some rust in the floor but that is about it, now some pic's from when i started to to tear in to the front end to put the jaguar front suspension

had a little help from my youngest son with taking the front end apart over the next couple of days, once we had the axle's and springs off time to brace up the front frame rail's, for about a total of six and a half hour's of cutting with cut off wheel's and saws-all the cross member was out. the frame rail's are 34 inch's wide, ford ran the front frame rail's 34 inch's wide from 1947 to 1979 which make's it perfect for the jaguar front suspension , the track width is 59.6 is perfect for the 69 f100, now i could of gone with the crown vic front suspension and did a lot of reading on on it as well and i do get asked why jaguar and not crown vic suspension , well it came down to money, a crown vic front end around were i live cost about $600- $700 and the jaguar front end i got for $125

now even with cost of the jaguar front end and even with rebuilding it i still come out cheaper with the jaguar front end than the crown vic and there is nothing wrong with the crown vic front end , if i could of got it cheaper i would of gone the crown vic swap , it all came down to money , like to thank some of the guy's here on fordification for there articles , got a lot of great ideal's from here and to the Aussie's for there love of car's and truck's and article's on them on the web so it's time to start fitting up the jaguar front end.

now i had it up there i could see what i had to do to make it fit, now there are two way's to put in welded to the frame to get it lower or soft mount it the way it was in the jaguar i chose welded in to get it down on the ground, i seen i had to to make a relief in the top of the ford frame for the upper a-arm so i took what i called the top hat for the front spring and the front shock mount's into cut a corner out and flipped over and welded that in gave me a nice looking relief cut for the a-arm. once i got that all taken care of time to weld it into it's new home.

once it was all welded in time to put the motor in to see how it was going to fit , now i did buy a 86 ford 302 with a aod Tran's to put in to it but with the gas price's going sky-high i decided to put the 240 back into it, had to make motor mount's ether way so the 240 went in with the same 3speed Tran's, fit like a glove and plenty of oil pan clearance, so made some pattern's for the motor mount and they turned out grate.
