Grand fathers 1972 F-100
Recently got my granfathers 72 F-100. My grandfather passed away in this truck in 1977 and it sat until 1992, when my cousin decide he wanted to restore it. He made it as far as completly diassembling it and painting the frame red for some reason. Apparently he lost interest and it sat in a field until 3 months ago when I asked if I could have it to actually put back together. There was not much left of it really but I'm steadily making progress. I do a lot of paint work and paint caskets for a living and a few cars on the side but nothing to this extent. below is a link to view my progress so far and am hoping to have finished by the end of summer.

jcraft341,
Admirable thing you're doing here. Something about all our trucks just tells me, "don't send me to the junkyard"!
For just a little more money...(believe me I know how tight money is) right now would be a good time to do the disc brake conversion on it. Real easy to get to everything with the cab off.
Looking good BTW!

Re: Grand fathers 1972 F-100
Thanks still got to figure out the wiring on the column for turn signals and such. No clue what I'm doing on wiring. New wheels and tires, and some small stuff and it will be finished. Since it was my dads dad I'm letting him have it for awhile to enjoy really meant a lot to him. And fomocoguy i think I'll stick to painting bikes and airbrushing!

The color is Medium blue metallic, not really crazy about it but was the original color.
