Me My Wife and My Truck

Post by Nickabocker »

Hello everyone,

I've been away for quite sometime (about 2 years since my last last post). I've been mighty busy working on a farm in WY finding a job down in Idaho leaving that for bigger oppurtunitys (AKA Car Sales). I got married in July last year. Oh man its been a busy two years but I've got good news. I'm starting my restoration once again and this time i have help (my Wife). So here is a break down (sorry no pictures currently of the truck). For those of you who dont remember my truck is a 1967 Ford F100 Long Box Standard cab Ranger trim with the 352 and 4 speed Manuel.

My plans are as follows.

Strip bed from frame and patch bed panels
Treat and Paint rear axle / Frame
New bushings in leaf springs (also will reform the arch)
Apply a undercoat on the fram and underside of bed
After that i will move to the front of the truck
New cab mounts
Under side body work on cab (corners and rockers)
front fenders need patched or replaced undecided so far.

ok thats a quick and dirty version will post more as my project begins getting closer.

I do have a few questions for you guys however.

Do the LED really work as good as they look?
POR-15 or Rust Bullet?
My truck is white and brown but looking at paint chips brown is not a color choice anybody have any ideas? (see signiture for reference)

Thanks and the more i have the more ill update :)

I am a big fan of POR-15, goes on easy and is super strong. Check out my build thread to see where we used it.
