Two years ago I started looking for a f100 swb I could drop a 460 engine in. Some how last January I ended up with a F250 that's original enough I don't want to modify it.
The odometer shows 46,600 mile and from what I've seen working on the truck I think it may be correct. I've just been fixing some leaks and replacing hoses and changing fluids.
My plan now is to drive it some and fix any problems that pop up and maybe paint it next winter.
awesome! where did you find my old truck??? well, almost. it wasn't that nice and didn't have power brakes or ac, but it was an f250 white with red interior and 352 auto.
i noticed your e-brake is different than mine though. haven't seen one of those in a bumpside truck before.
nice truck man.

Thanks, Yeah pretty close to being the same truck.I have been going to look into the ebrake thing. My truck was built in Jan. 67 ser.# F25YCA71294 so I guess it's fairly early in the run.
I've got some rust on the tailgate, hood and the driprail but otherwise it's in good shape. Did you have the MX transmission in yours?
wow that is a nice truck! gosh the interior is in awesome shape. id drive that for sure. great find!

yes, mine had the mx auto as well. i haven't seen many 250s with the auto. around here most were farm trucks and i'm sure back then most were skeptical about an auto for heavy applications. but since both of ours were camper specials i would guess the new owners were wanting the ease of not having to shift.
i'll bet those stainless innie hubcaps you have are quite rare as well.
