Best Way to get a little lift on 68 f100 4x4
So i just got a 68 f100 4x4 and am planning what i want to do with it first. Right now the tires on it are are 32-33 inches( cant remember). These really fill up the wheel wells. I would like to lift the truck maybe 2-3 inches just for extra room and for looks. I was thinking a body lift but id rather lift the whole truck(suspension lift). Has anyone added leaves to the rear springs? Because i really dont want to put lift blocks on the rear. As far as the front end how do i have to get taller coils or are there spacers available? Sorry ive done quite a bit of reading on here but didnt really find an answer yet, im kind of new to these years of trucks. Thanks, Will.

Please don't get a bodylift, they just aren't right.
As for the small lift, we put 2 inch aluminum blocks on my friend's suspension springs on his yukon and it rides smoother and is taller. I would get blocks for now, they are cheaper and give you an idea of what the truck will look like with a real suspension lit. Its your call, but there's a start.

Skyjacker makes 4" lift kits for your truck for under $500. http://www.skyjacker.com/

Skyjacker products are great and I agree that a body lift of more than 2 inches is not so good. Remember though that the under 500 kit does not include shocks, brake hoses, or any provisions to correct the caster and track bar issues you are going to create when you install the kit. Make sure to read the instructions published on line before you pull the pin and buy.
