Help Identify My truck.

I recently purchased what I thought was a 1973 reg cab 4x4. As I start to do research on fixing it up. I find out that it is not a 1973. After a little more digging, I found out that the title is for a 1973 reg cab 2wd. I really need help finding out what exactly this is. The guy wont call me back, so Im pretty much stuck with it. This is what I know for sure. 360 with a 4spd. 4x4. It has a tank behind the seat and two small tanks in front of the back wheels. It also has hooks all down the side of bed.The front grill has a two part honey comb insert. I have pics but cant seem to get them to upload.

I really can't help with the I.D on your truck. Fordification.net is the sister site to this one but for 73-79s and might be good help with the I.D of your truck.

If you had a picture it may help, and also, list the VIN if you want to get some other eyes on what it is.

This happens a lot. Good chance atleast your door is from 1973.

If you want to know what the chassis is find the VIN on the frame. It's stamped on the top of the passenger side frame rail about even with the firewall.

Thanks guys. I tried loading a picture, but it said it was to big. And I have no idea how to shrink it. I will look for the vin on the frame rail. Is it easy to spot? Or should I get a wire brush? I really like this truck whatever year it is. Any idea on which models came with the two little tanks ??

The extra tanks are aftermarket, not original.
