C4 part identification help

I am rebuilding my c4 for the first time. Got the tranny out and the pan off. A little part was at the bottom of the pan and I dont know what it is or where it goes. I appreciate an!y help on this. Thanks

You need a new case. That part is press fitted in the case. If it fell out, the hole is wallowed out where it belongs and it will not stay in if you try to reinstall it. No, you can't glue it in. It will still fall out.

I was going to suggest a repair, but since you have it out & are going to rebuild it anyway, you may as well do as was suggested.........I saw the pin this AM but failed to read your complete post...Donnie
