Time to put our old Bump to bed for the winter!

It's a bit early to put her to bed, but her safety inspection is up on Sept. 30 and she needs some exhaust work, so she's going to bed early this year. Here is a pic of her last camping trip of the season:

Haha, thanks for the offer, but I think we'll keep her close to home! This pic is a great memory of good times with friends at an annual off-road rockcrawling event we attend every year. We had an awesome time, with awesome weather. A lot of the people that go to this event are automotive enthusiasts so the old bump got a lot of attention and visitors. Even the campground owners came down to take a tour inside it once we got it set up. It got a little chilly at night, going down to 6 degrees (Celsius) one night, but we had a serviced site and turned on the electric baseboard heaters in the Scamper and we were toasty warm! We used to freeze our butts off at this event so I actually didn't even go last year - tired of freezing. There was a full moon that night also, which brightened things up enough for some great night photography.

Thanks! Glad you liked the picture. No problem saving/using the pic. I have it as my desktop wallpaper on my computer and this will help me get through the winter blues every time I turn my computer on the morning! The truck does pull the camper's weight no problem, even though it has the 360 rather than the 390. Once we get the kickdown working (we need that grommet/bushing on the carb end of the kickdown rod) it will probably handle the hills much better - right now it loses some speed on big hills. I'll spend the winter searching for that grommet.
