Parting out my 71 SWB with vintage AC and 460
Ok guys. We just bought some land to build on and I'm getting rid of my truck. It is worth more in parts than whole so here we go. I'm in Lufkin TX now (two hours north of Houston). I will also be listing lots of parts on craigslist. I will go through the truck and make a good inventory but as of right now the I'm thinking the best parts are:
Rust free short bed $450
Rust free tailgate $150
Rear chrome bumper brackets $75
Mild 460 / Broader performance wide ratio C6 (about 10k miles on both) $1100
aprox 24k miles instrument cluster (looks brand new) $50
24k mile core support $80 (no rust)
radiator with 10k miles on it. $75
I will have more pictures soon. These are when I had just painted it.
thanks
Austin

Congrats on the land and on the future of a home. Real good prices on all your parts for sure. Quick question if I man please. Either before or during your parting out of your truck can you please re-verify the wiring on the 79 tilt column you installed quoting wire colors here:
http://fordification.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21570
I have confirmed my tilt column switch to be a 79 by the D8TA 13B302-AB original Ford part number on the switch. Yet my colors are not matching with the colors you stated a 79' as having? Pictures would be even better of how you grafted the two harnesses together.
Did you ever get this truck on the road with the turn signals working?

Hey Basket,
I don't have that tild column anymore. I found a 72 camper special with 24k original miles. I took the column and lots of other parts from that truck. The column was nice and tight. Clicked into park just like factory. I put that column in my truck and sold the tilt. Sorry.
thanks
Austin

Do you still have the ignition switch? Any chance your door locks are still the same key? If so I'd like to buy the switch and locks... If not then I'd just go with the switch and a key for it.
Let me know...
Thanks,
Bob

Scott,
The motor mounts and towers are going to be $150. Shipping will be around 20ish I'm thinking. Let me know if you are good for the $150 before I pull the motor to get to the parts. I've got guys wanting to look at the motor and I don't want to pull it unless I've got a buyer for the mounts and towers.
thanks
Austin
