Transfer case shifter lube?

My transfer case shifter is pretty stiff. Is this normal? Is there a recommended way to lubricate a shifter?

I have a '71 and it's transfer case has always been kind of stiff. Sometimes I have to move the truck a little for it to engage. I use the same thing in it as I do in the front end , rear end, and transmission. I'm pretty sure it's 90 weight gear lube.

I have 50W oil in the case, but I was wondering there was another place to oil or grease. I will try oiling the linkages to see if that makes a difference.
