68 F-100 4x4 front end question
Good morning I'm rebuilding the front end of this 4x4 and wondering how you tell if the King Pin bearing cups need to be replaced? There are two, an upper and lower, which mount to the steering knuckle. Also the Shims that are used between the steering knuckle and the king pins. What are there purpose? Alignment? I damaged them removing the king pins

The shims are used to set the pre load on the Bearings.
