Well, it has been a while since I updated this thread and as I just revisited it and looked through it, it seems that about 2 pages have disappeared with a bunch of updates and photos gone from the middle of this thread. Strange, but the beginning photos and updates are all there, and the latest photos and updates are all there, but a lot of the middle stuff is gone. Oh well, it was just new brakes, and a bunch of the cutting, welding, and body work. At least the thread is still here (although, the date markers when stuff is done is always nice to see later for the owner.

Anyway, we have been doing more to CNM67's truck as of late than the crew. I want to give a HUGE thank you to Forest Bump who allowed CNM67 to take his 67 up there and allowed us to make a mess of his driveway and tools while we picked his brain for knowledge and guidance. The truck sat in his driveway for about 3 weeks, and we made it up there 3 days to work on it. The goal was to convert his truck to power steering and power brakes from the 72. We also wanted to replace his entire timing set. In 3 days, we were able to locate and obtain parts we needed from a local "bump yard" to do the power steering and brake conversion. We located and pulled a manual pedal assembly from a 68, a driver side engine perch from a power steering truck, and clutch return spring from a 68, and a steering column collar for a manual truck (his steering column collar still had a hole from originally being 3 on the tree). Once we had all these parts, we tore into the engine and replaced the entire timing set with a new set from Summit, while installing the new pulleys needed to run power steering. We also got the stock engine perch out and put in the power steering perch. Hooked up the power steering box and pump, got the power brakes on the truck, and swapped out the 67 pedal assembly for the 68 pedal assembly to work with the power brakes. We also took out his 67 steering column and used the column from the 72 to work with the power steering box. Got the column all put together, wired, and painted with his new wheel on in before installation.
Anyway, with the help of Forest Bump who really knows his stuff, we got the 67 dialed in and that thing drives like a brand new truck!! Its crazy how much of a difference the power steering and power brakes make on that truck. And it runs sooooooo much better now with the new timing set installed. So again, a HUGE shout out to Larry for allowing us to come up there and pick his brain and dirty his tools for 3 days.
As for the crew cab, we are finishing up the body work and getting it ready for paint. The only glitch right now is that the bed is not lining up on the driver's side. The bump on the bed is about 1/2 inch higher than the bump down the cab. We think the frame might have been slightly tweaked when the service bed was being pulled off due to a weld that would not break on that side. So we are going to have to take a bunch of measurements to see what exactly is causing this. Hopefully its something simple and nothing that is going to require me taking it somewhere to get the frame straightened. That is not an expense I had planned for.
