Looks good, but cup plugs need installed so the sidewalls are fully inside the plug bore. Cup plugs are tapered, if they're not in all the way they can easily come back out.

I'm sure the brass plugs take all of the sidewall of the the holes. Why do they have to be flush with the block? Brass shrinks/expands?

The edge of the plug not being in the hole will allow it to expand and contract at a different rate vs. the iron block. It'll work it's way out over time. You may get lucky but it's easier to just drive them in 1/16-1/8" in the bore.

I got the freeze plugs flush with the block... getting them 1/8" to 1/16" inside the bore would need the engine out. Right now, I just bought 4 BFG All-Terrain 235/85R16 at Discount Tire with free shipping and the big "Super Cooling" 24x26" Spectre radiator 3-row CU480 at APW for $335 - http://frugalmechanic.com/auto-part/spe ... ra&t=CU480

AutoZone and Summit Racing had the radiator for less, but didn't have them in stock and could not get them from the manufacturer. Amazon had them for less by $20-30, but I had to wait 3-5 weeks.

At the moment, I'm installing a 90's Ford 3G 130A alternator and a 90's Ford 2-speed electric fan from a U-Pick yard. I have an extra electric fan if anyone needs it.

Currently still installing the $30 3G 130A alternator. Rainy days and other issues popping up.

Got the TEFBA filter all the way from AUSSIE land.

And, the radiator. It had some slight damage to the fins. The box it was shipped in was over-sized and had been damaged... kind of pissed me off. Packaging was terrible... came straight from SPECTRE. Need to test it to see if it leaks.

Here's my 3G wiring.
Image
I think the big wire that the yellow arrow is pointing at needs to go to the positive side of the battery or starter solenoid.
And, it looks like I need to temporarily move the battery inside the cab.

I don't know the exact year, but was from a 90's Ford Taurus.

Finally got the 3G alternator operational. Just installed today the big radiator and TEFBA coolant filter... need to get some all stainless hose clamps to finish the top hose. Both bottom corners of the radiator bracket had to be notched.

Replaced the original rusted out fuse block with a Bussmann mini-fuse block - http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =8&t=62478 ... got the instrument panel and heater control lights to work. Wipers worked when I got the truck. Cigar lighter gets juice, but the coil doesn't heat up. Right turn signal light on instrument panel works, but doesn't blink.

Emergency flashers, turn signals, brake lights, headlights still don't work. Time to study the wiring diagrams.

Can't wait to get to the body/frame work. I'm very tempted to go custom. :D
