Hey all!
Well here it is I purchased a 68 4x4 step side (8'Bed) with a tired L6 240CID and a 4 speed granny 1st with D44 front, D60 rear M24Tcase and I only paid 400 for it so as I started on the electrical work to get the rear lights going I wound up running into problems. It started when I went to get the Regi done and have the Vin verified because it was not regi for 10 years so 250 bucks and a broken u joint down the rd. and blowing the rings in a tired engine I got a hold of a 69 F100 for 450 dollars and a 302 CID V8 now to my knowledge I was under the impression that all bell housing are the same NOPE but mine was!!! The 302 bolted right up match perfect only one problem MOUNTS!!! Now I have alot of parts left over Ill give any of the 6 parts or the tranny (3speed column) to anyone who can trade up or tell me how to get V8 frame mounts for this fitup! and make it work before I start welding! Oh mind you all THIS IS MY FIRST TRUCK, FORD, and 4x4 So I am the quitisential Virgin here! Any help in aquiring the mounts would be helpful, I CHECKED LMC AND DENNIS KERK so still looking!
