Re: 68 F600 crew cab project
Im looking for a 149-151" Ford 34" wide frame to put the cab on along with a short bed I have off a 68 and front clip off a 69 and a spare 68 steel grill I'm going to chrome. I will most likely use the 393w out of my other 68 and a Mazda 5 speed.

Re: 68 F600 crew cab project
Yes I do have my work cut out for me. with this build I'm going to show off my skills and get a little more creative on it. With my green 68 I stayed conservative on the mods done to it because it was a to nice to cut up all that rust free metal.

Re: 68 F600 crew cab project
Worked on getting it stripped down to take it to the dipper to see what I have to work with.

Re: 68 F600 crew cab project
I guess I'm going to use a 69 f100 4x4 swb frame and splice in the needed length under the cab.

So, if you axe everything between the cowl seam and the seat hump and put little truck stuff on it'll be easier right?

Re: 68 F600 crew cab project
No I'm going to do it a little different. The big differences is the trans tunnel and cab mounts. The floor pans are the same, just there is a hole in the floor for the F600 column. The most of the rust on the cab is the driver side floor and driver side roof drip rail so putting in a new floor pan will do away with the steering column hole and driver F600 cab mount. I am going to drill out the spot welds for the pass F600 cab mount and replace both mounts with f100-350 cab mounts. The rear will either be cut down and boxed or replaced with a F100-350 rear cab mount. As for the brake pedals and steering column holes and locations it is up in the air what I will do.
