1967 F350 Big Dawg Flatbed 2WD From AK

Hey everyone!

I recently acquired a 1967 dually 2wd F-350 custom cab flatbed from a good friend who's leaving state for $550.00!

The truck has a newly rebuilt (under 500 miles) FE 352 V8 with heads that have been machined and had the valve seats hardened, and a nasty cam to match. Motors got headers with true dual welded exhaust. It's in decent shape with a few cancer spots. I replaced the leaky old cab marker lights with some really skookum looking eagle head ones. The truck is love, but it needs lots of love. A friend of mine offered me up a bunch of clean body panels for it for free or nearly free, so that should help a lot. I should go over tomorrow and collect....

I live in Seward AK, and am the manager at our local NAPA auto parts store, so man, gotta love the discount! Makes getting the important stuff easy, plus I can get my own parts and don't have to rely on someone who doesn't know what they are doing behind the counter...
I am an artist and can paint, draw, sculpt, weld, make violins and violas, play music and more.

Either way, I am looking forward to learning more about my truck, and sharing what knowledge I have with all y'all!

We also have a 65 F-100 with a built FE 390 V8 that we are restoring, but its on the backburner for a while. My truck is closer to finish and less costly as far as repairs (other ones body is rustoed You can see it in the rear view pic)

Welcome from Northern Ca. I have family in Fairbanks. I like those cab marker lights. I checked em out online for my 68 last week. $9.99 each sounds like a fair price. Bet your discount at Napa is better than my AAA one there.
That is a nice looking truck.

You guys probably get this one all the time... Why do you call it a "bump"?

I'm gonna put a new "wine" color knit seat cover on it tonight, should look way better than the crusty gross black one till I can afford a vinyl re-upholstry kit. The original seat is trashed, a shame. I'll post some pics after its re-fitted.

I also made an entertaining discovery today...

I was driving into town today and noticed I was getting rained on. Looked allover the dang place and couldn't find it until I looked down and saw a hole in the floor by my dimmer switch the size of a pencil eraser. I was surprised that That much water was getting through! Lol I need to fix that.....

You guys probably get this one all the time... Why do you call it a "bump"? Because of the section that bumps out down the side. 73 up are called Dents due to the area down the sides is concave.

Heh, I did Lol.... I found this in another topic.

For those unaware, the curse of the '67 relates to an unforeseen pregnancy shortly after the acquisition of a 1967 Ford truck.

It's shrouded in myth and legend around here and is a running joke only...NOT to be taken seriously!

As far as the truck goes.. I'm making a custom headliner for it. I've got a ruined original from a parts truck for a template, and was thinking of doing it in black vinyl, or leather.
