U joint

I lost a u joint going down the road yesterday. After further investigation I think I might Have had the wrong one in there. This is one I never changed when I bought it so I can't go by what was in it. I know on the rear transfer case yoke I need one that measures around 3.66" from cap to cap. the one that was in there was around 3.25 from what i can tell.

When I bought one from autozone the duralast one is the same for all the joints. And it is too small. They are telling me to use part #1-0153DG.

I don't care what brand I end up with as long as it is a good product.

since your truck is a mix between a bump and a 75 frame. its hard to tell what shaft may have been used. you may have to get a nonstock u joint for it. yo umay have to take the shaft in there and let them measure and figure what u joint ot use for a replacement.

You may need a 1310/1330 combo joint.

If one side measures 3.66 and the other is about 3.5 (or close, just going by memory), that's what you have.

If both sides measure 3.66, you need a 1330 series joint.

My 70 had the combo joint at the transmission from the factory (360/C6). When I changed it to a T19, it used a 1310 series at the front yoke.

You should be able to find either one at most any parts store.

thanks for the info guys I will look into the combo one. Worst case I can take the drive line with me to have them double check it.
