Re: 4X4X4 LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
Well, it has been awhile since I made any progress but as of late I have found some time to chip away at it.
Here are a few pics of the latest.
spraying the bedliner
my exhaust guy was real busy so this part held me up for over a month, but it sure was worth it! It sounds nice. I will try to post some video of it running in the near future.
off the drivers side header
crossover with the flex tube
passing the transfer case
out to the back
this shot shows the tips. I chose not to put chrome tips on it and tucked the turndowns up under the bed. gives it a cleaner look i think.

Awesome truck man! Holy crap, that thing is going to be a monster. I like the exhaust turndowns, I may steal that one. So tired of the big chrome tips sticking out. Do you have any pics of that Dakota Digital dash all lit up yet?
Keep up the excellent work!

Re: 4X4X4 LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
Thanks! I am still working on the wiring part and leaving the cluster out so I can get behind the dash panel easier. I am really looking forward to seeing that thing lit up!
fomocoguy, I found that cover at my friends shop. He took it in on trade from someone for some work he did. The company was out of Phoenix here and have long since cloeed. I have not been able to find any Magnaguard products anywhere. I would love to find one for the front.

Re: 4X4X4 it DRIVES!!
I am starting to see the light at the end of this lloonngg tunnel, I sure hope it's not a frieght train coming the other way!
I fininshed the brakes and decided to move the beast on its own. Drove it around the block! Ran real strong and seemed to have plenty of torque and horses. Power steering conversion works like a cadillac, very easy and smooth.
It is way too hot (115 degrees) now to be in the shop much so progress will slow down until a less dangerous temperature rolls around.

Oh, cmon, its a dry heat . That is great news though and a great milestone that I can't wait to reach some day. I was in southern AZ for the last 5 days and I wish I would have had the time to come see that beautiful truck in person.

Re: 4X4X4 it DRIVES!!
I just discovered this thread. And I am thankful for it.
Your truck has got to be THE nicest bumpside I have ever seen. I'm still baffled by the price of the paint. It's so outrageous, there's no way you could lie about it!
Since you didn't make it to Hot August Nights last year, will you make it this year? I mean, it already started, but will you be there? Or maybe next year?
I would really love to see this truck in person, maybe ride around the block a few times in it? I plan on bringing my project '74 4x4 there next year, so maybe we can meet up somewhere?

Re: 4X4X4 it DRIVES!!
Hey everyone, it has been quite some time since the last posting. Things have been busy and work has picked up. Very close to the end of the project but I keep changing course and adding new ideas. here are pictures of the latest updates.
I am not going to push to make Hot August Nights this year, unfortunatley. but the other side of that coin is I will get to drive a '58 fairlane!
Here it is with new wheels and tires. Tires are 12.50 x 35 they look kinda small in the pictures but in person
they are right size for the truck
I changed to a aftermarket A/C system. everything is fabricated. Here is the firewall bulkhead for A/C lines and heater hoses
The A/C unit under the dash with the new fabricated lines
The Condensor with fabricated lines
Made a aluminum dash trim panel. the headligh, wiper and A/C controls will stay on the dash
The overhead console in place for a test fit. this is where the rest of the controls will go.
