Hey guys, my question of the day is how hard would it be to bolt in a 67-72 ( im assuming. maybe later years work too.) dually read end into the rear end of my 72 2wd f250? Are they bolt in? driveline hookup and spring compatibility is my real concern. I can plumb brake lines and I have fender flares off some of my old buses that would hug the bed wonderfully. Thanks for any input you all may have!

Re: installing a f350 rear end.
Since there were no F-350 DRW pickups made in these years there were only cab chassis dual trucks. Cab chassis trucks have the same rear wms width as a standard pickup. The Dana 70's used under 67-72 F-350 cab chassis trucks are 23 spline and not a worthwhile rear axle to swap with, they are not supported for parts, gears, axles, etc. and it's iffy if there's any strength advantage over a Dana 60. If you swap it in the driveline will need to be about 3/4" shorter and none of the spring hardware from the 60 will fit, you'll need the Dana 70 stuff for the larger axle tubes.
You might as well put duals on your stock rear end. Might run into the wheelwell depending on tire/wheel size though.

Re: installing a f350 rear end.
Hey Dustin thank you for your input and thanks for pointing me in the right direction for new u-bolts for my other truck. Is it really just as easy as bolting duel wheel to my stock rear end? I didnt even think about checking if the lug studs where long enough. Im not looking for huge tires just a little stability for some of the heavier loads.
