Have you tried Warn Industries? Is your winch electric or PTO? Vertical or horizontal capstan? Front or rear mounting? These are the things that will dictate which mounting bumper you'll need.

Have you considered using a receiver hitch mount? If so, it will allow you to install the winch in either the front or rear of your 4WD. Here is one idea: http://www.offroadunlimited.com/orustor ... p?idpage=6

I've found that, more often than not, it's better to have a rear facing winch than front as I've driven into an area that requires backing out and if you're spinning all fours, the rear facing winch is the only solution.

This method of mounting gives you the best of both worlds! You won't have to run your winch cable under your 4WD to remove yourself backwards, just plug the winch into the rear receiver hitch.

Just a thought...

I see you're located in the land of the rising sun, so I'm assuming Ford parts are not quite as readily available as they are in the States. If I remember correctly, you have access to a machine/welding shop? If correct, you may want to consider building your own front bumper/winch mounting if that's what you would rather do. I didn't have much luck looking on line for a winch mounting front bumper for our era trucks.

Hope this helps!

x2 on receiver mounted winch. That is what i am doing for my highboy. You can either put a hitch between the frame rails right behind the bumper and a flip up or quick release license plate, or you can make a new front crossmember/hangers that incorporates a receiver. Then you can make your own plate/handles for the winch.
Then if you run the cables to the front of the truck and another set to the rear of the truck you can put the winch wherever you want like mentioned. It seems like 90% of the time rigs need to be pulled from the rear, so a rear mounted winch seems very handy to have.

is there a difference between a rear hitch and a front hitch as far as mounting a rear hitch on the front? What class of hitch should I install if I want to use it as a winch mount?
