Hello again

Post by Kurt Combs »

Just want to reintroduce myself.

I have had my bump for over five years now and it just keeps getting better as I make modifications or repair problems as they arrise. I haven't been active on this board for quite awhile, partly because I haven't been driving my 72 F-250 two wheel drive. The reason is my sixteen year old daughter decided to use my truck as her first car! This is a perfect first vehicle for any teenager. However this is a slim, attractive cheerleader driving what I would consider to be a farmer's truck. I was amazed that she wanted to drive it and that it lasted for about six months. She finally figured out that the truck was harder to drive than most vehicles and that it suffers from years of wear. The wear shows itself as noisy windows and hot starting problems, just to name a few. Well a couple of weeks ago she got wise and said she would trade me cars, so she is now driving my 1996 Buick Lesabre and I have my truck back. She would have opted for the Buick before but it is an old person's car! I'm 63 years young, so I don't get that sentiment. :D

I am back driving my truck as a daily driver and starting to have thoughts about all the things I can improve and repair. This brings me right back to Fordification.com. I also plan to be more active as a responding poster on this site, as long as I feel I am knowledgeable about the topic being discussed.
