Re: vibration
try taking the driveshaft back off and and turning it 180 degrees and see if that helps.

Re: vibration
So it seems the halves are balanced together and not independently. Thanks I kinda figured that justwanted someone elses thoughts before I climbed back underneath the truck.

Re: vibration
The two shafts are balanced independently.
IIRC, the slip yoke is splined so that the two halves cannot be installed out-of-phase.
There's a very good chance that the u-joints are not installed correctly.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
That's not an oil leak That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!

Re: vibration
my slip yoke is splined so you can install the shaft any ole which way you please, but when i got the driveshaft balanced the machine shop marked it so there wasn''t any confusion on my part ( i've since found that (usually) when the balance weights are on the same plane on both shafts that the shaft is more than likely as good as it'll get as far as vibration goes
i'd definitely check that your u-joints are installed properly
what condition is your steady bearing in?
What bearings were you refering to when you said you changed the u joints & bearings? Wheel bearings? If so i'd check those out too,you might have overtightened em or not seated them properly
