Correct.. However this should have been a lot further along then it is.. Lack of help and motivation has been a killer.. Kinda irritated at trusting people who said they'd help me with the parts I didn't know how to do.. Though I ended up figuring a lot of stuff out and have learned a lot..

Spectre wrote:Well I fired it up last wednesday. Let it idle itself around the neighborhood (I still don't have a gas pedal hooked up) So far no leaks from the trans or oil pans. Wooohoooo!

I talked to a buddy and it looks like I'm going to put it on a trailer and take it to his shop. Will get more work done on it there cause I'll have help and more motivation then I do here at home.

Sorry for slacking everyone. Been really burnt out and irritated on the whole project.. To many people saying they'd help with things I'm not good with and not showing up.. Though life happens..

So It's been sitting and almost was scrapepd a couple times, but thankfully I was to busy to do that.. So now I'm having a "wrench day" at my place on Sat April 16th. Got quite a bit of people showing up.. So we should make some good progress.. I'll post up pics and a report after then.. So have no fear this project is still alive even though it's been super slow

Sucks your crew of helpers backs out on ya fella. I've been in the same boat and pretty much just don't ask for help anymore. Try to make a way to do it myself, hard at times but at least it gets done! Keep at it man.

I love helping motivated people with thier projects. It's very rewarding to pass on skills and see others "get things" when they learn new stuff they can use. I'm tired of helping someone with thier project knowing they don't have the motivation to carry it through to a respectable finished product nor do they care to learn anything. I've carried other's projects to the finishline at personal cost with no benefit and it sucks.

Life is all about relationships. Do people feel used when they help you with your project? Are you returning favors? Questions you might ask yourself....

I think what it is.. I like doing the big extreeme stuff.. A lot of people in this world think it's cool ideas and everything, and want me to do it, but when it came down to helping it just wasn't in their cards.. As for people feelings used and me returning favors.. I'm the first person to go help others and make sure I go out of my way to show my grattitude for helping

Ok.. small update..

Sat April 16th I had a "Work on truck party" I got a couple cases of beer, a bunch of carne asada/other food and had one of my roomates man the grill. Basically I invited people over to help get things done.. However I couldn't get much work done myself because I was running around gettings things that people needed. . Parts/food/beer ect.. Being a host.

The electric fan and fan controller have been installed.. Thanks to my g/f's dad.
The bucket seats were installed Thanks to my buddy Marc and Ian's g/f for fabbing the seat bracket.. (Will post a pic of that below)
The gas pedal and throttle cable has been installed. Thanks to my buddy Ian.
Also some small body work was done with grinding the welds where we shortened the bed. My buddy Eric did that.. It was his first time trying to do body work. It's not showroom quality but neither is my truck.. lol.

I still have a lot of little things to do but the motivation is starting to come back and I'm enjoying this once again. When it's winter time, cold outside and getting dark at 5:30 pm I really have no desire to be outside working on the thing. Now that's it's warming up and staying light outside until 7:30 and later, I'll be outside doing things here and there after work.

I need to clean up the wiring.. I decided to save the whole interior harness from the bronco but now looking back I'm changing my mind. I'm going to gut it and take out everything I don't need.. Like the power windows / door locks wires and everthing.. Try and get it cleaned up and tucked away a lot better then it is now.

I only have 1 pic right yet because my friends haven't uploaded theirs yet and I never stopped long enough to take pictures. However this was uploaded by a buddy of mine

FYI.. ths "S" and "F" words are said once each in the videos.. Just don't want anyone to get in trouble if they view it at work.. IT's not loud but you can hear it.

Alright man glad you got yourself back into it. This is too interesting of a project to let it slip away. Keep at it, you'll get there eventually

First off let me apologize. I've been going very slow and not getting much done.. But I have not lost interest. In fact I've been getting some motivation.. Over the weekend I went out and bought an Air filter and some exhaust stuff to make a little progress. I have since removed the whole wiring harness from inside the truck. Cut out everything I don't need. (the old power windows/locks ect. Made it a lot cleaner.. I've also mounted the inertia switch. Still have some more stuff to do inside. I wired in the key on the dash but have since decided to go to a switch panel. Basically like a painless panel that gives me switches to tun things on and start the truck.. I plan to put one of those marine battery cut off keys by the drivers seat. 2 reason. If I roll over I can cut power to the whole truck while still strapped in my seat and I can also take it out and kill power in case I decide to drive it in town and don't want someone stealing it since I won't have any keys for it. :D

Here's the small progress..

Figured out the intake setup.. Just need to make the air box for it. The shinny box to the right of the filter is my ECU. I need to make a box to protect it from the elements. I was pondering on splicing and running it into the truck but I think that's a wiring nightmare I don't want to deal with.

Here's my muffler setup.. I'm waiting to get my welder back from my g/f's dad so I can make it perm.. (Though I need to put it off and grind the pipe so I can have a clean surface. :toothless

Once again.. I'm making progress just slow... =(

Thanks!

I forgot to add.. I believe I have a front main trans seal leak.

I had bought the seal but for some reason I did not change it when I had the motor out.. *sigh* Now I get to pay for my laziness. It'll take me hours to do that now compared to the few minutes it would of took me then..

That's the only thing I can think of. I have trans fluid coming the inside the bell housing and leaking out of the torque converter access pannel.

Went outside and tinkered around a bit. My work area is all cluttered and messy so it's hard to get anything done.. However that will change as soon as 2 of the roomates move out this weekend.. I'm going to be spending the next week or so cleaning up around here.. Will make working on the B250 easier..

Anyhow.. I got this far.. Just need to bolt it down and then bend some metal to cover up the hole on the top. That and I cut the hole for the shifter a little bigger then I needed to so I'll be patching that up.. Then I just need to fab some kind of center console setup so I can install the floor shifter.
