T5 bench seat clearance

I'm wanting to tell a new guy at work he won't have any stock bench seat clearance with his 79 f150 if he puts a T5 in to replace the T18 he has now behind his inline 6. He just had the interior all redone so bucket seat or modifiying the bench isn't an option. He drives the truck daily with little to no towing and wants better fuel mileage and reduced engine wear since he just rebuilt the 300. I think there is a certain style T5 that fits better than the other but I'm not 100% for sure.
1968 swb hydroboost, ididit tilt column, Saginaw p/s pump with F series serpentine, all led lights, Vintage Air and painless wiring. 393w, tko600. CV front suspension w/c5 calipers and gt500 rotors. Stock Flexomatic leaf springs with 01 CV 8.8, 3.90 gears and Auburn locker. Custom wood bed floor. Full frame off resto-mod.

Sorry to butt in here, but ya'll lost me on the T5, T18 and M5R2 :? .
68 F-250 CS, 360 or 390?, still haven't measured the stroke, AUTO running on propane!

Im going to be doing a T18 to M5R2 swap very soon on the 68' I recovered everything from a 88'
