Re: 1969 Ford Crew Cab / Cummins Project
Sent my steering gear out to PSC today for a rebuild and set up for hydro assist. And finally have my power steering pump issues solved.
I had the guys over at Straight Line set me up with this Vickers vane pump...
Mounts to my SAE A flange adapter...
Fits nice...

Re: 1969 Ford Crew Cab / Cummins Project
Looks like I have two options for mounting this water/air intercooler.
Above the motor, which will make valve adjustments and such a little more complicated...
Or on the fender, which may complicate the addition of a second charger if I go back that direction...
Hmmmmm....

Re: 1969 Ford Crew Cab / Cummins Project
If you mount it on the motor then you wouldn't have the extra worry of the connections coming apart from the motor moving and the body flexing pulling/wiggling on the joints, and less wear and tear on the air hoses... I know my 94 cummins would shake pretty good when you turned it off.

It would make a nice heater in the cab in winter time.

He is in California, he doesn't need a heater! I don't know diesels but if you wanted to run twin turbos later could you relocate the battery and mount it on the other inner fender??

I've come to the conclusion that fabing/bending brake lines suck!

Mounted the proportioning valve...
After messing with under dash locations, I ended up going with my original thought anyway.
