Looks good, are you planning to use an under bed tank eventually? I read that you are going to cover the in cab tank as well.

I am working on covering the tank with the same coating. As a matter of fact it is drying right now in the warm sun. I plan to keep the tank in the cab for now, and then put one in the bed that is nice and chrome that I want to use. It is so easy to work on anything wrong with the tank when its in the cab.

The next 2 days off I am going to get the tank back in, and then start the front breaks with a complete tear down and rebuild of them (if I get off my lazy butt).
Yes I am going to stay with the drums for now. My whole rebuild will be all stock with some mods. like

1. Vintage dog dish hub caps
2. Custom made door panels, and I am getting that material this week to start on them
3. Custom seat
4. Replacing the rear bumper with a roll pan

There are a few other things I want to do to it, but it takes $$$$$$$ Check back in for updates all.

OK, enough of the body work stuff. Finally the first sign that I am doing something on my truck. Got the tank put back in, come to find out that I could not get the gas tube on so I have to take the tank back out, what a pain that was. Got it all back in and no leaks, plus she started right up and ran great. Now I am all excited to get the cab started, and that is where my main focus will be at till its done.

Started work on the heater box due to the weather out here being real windy. Got the things apart and did not find to much rust, so thats good. All I have left to do is get the flaps on the inside redone, and the back plate sanded, painted and then put it all back together. Any Ideas out there for replacing the firewall cover with something else other than the same ol junk to put back on.

Got the heater box almost done, and I started on the inside of the cab. I took a look at it after I tore out the firewall padding and it was a mess. Scraped all the seam filler out, and it just fell off. What I have decided to do is scrape it all off, apply brand new seam filler after I take off all the rust, then prime. Not sure I am going to put up a fire wall padd again. Paint or bed liner spray on it. Pics coming soon...

I would look into one of those new abs firewall covers if you have a little saved up.

It took a few days but I got the heater box done. It has been cold and windy out here, so I have stayed inside. I took the whole thing apart and painted it inside and out, even if you dont see the metal when its put back in I still painted it. I want to know that its done right before I put it back in. The color on the motor is Italian Olive, that will be the inside color of the cab, out side dark Navy Blue. Here you go.
