Re: My GRABBER BLUE 72!
almost got the box done, but i ran out of days off. i sprayed a quick coat of paint on it to protect it untill i can work on it again. The panels need a lil more work to get them perfectly straight.

very nice. i like the filled stake pockets the best. something about a smooth short top rail looks too good to me. can't wait to see it with the cragars back on it.
wanting to buy a mercury tailgate!

Re: My GRABBER BLUE 72!
i am trying to decide wether i should put a roll pan on the truck. when i was 16 i took the top off a 72 tail gate, and made it into a roll pan. i couldnt find any pictures of that truck, so i made a pic. i didnt put a lisence plate on but i will probably just recess one in the center. what do you guys think?

That looks nice. I say do that if you have the spare tailgate for it.

Re: My GRABBER BLUE 72!
now that the snow is melted i can start workn on my truck again! i managed to get a lot done last weekend.
on saturday, i shortend and welded the exhaust back on, swapped the rear end back to the narrow 72 diff, did a half flip on the front spring hanger, and installed new brakes and shocks.
on sunday i pulled off a front fender and drilled all the spot welds and removed the bracket off the back side. i sand blasted the front and rear side of the fender and the brackets.
once i get the rust cut out and patched, i am going to coat the braket and back side of fender with POR-15 and tack the inner braket back into place.
i will take some pics of the fender this weekend.

Re: My GRABBER BLUE 72!
heres some recent pics of the truck.
i pulled the inner brakets of the drivers side fender to find some very "nice" rusty patch work.
i wasnt to impressed with it so i cut all the patches out, welded in one patch and sanded blasted, and coated with POR-15.
heres a pic with the new grill and clear signal lights.
i had to rewire the wiring harness between the fire wall and tail lights. all the lights actually work now!
i found a new rear sport bumper, just ordered the mount kit from lmc last week. cant wait to get it mounted.
i have to do a little more tweaking to get the body lined up a little better, and i then i will tear it all apart again and finish the body work!

Looking Good!
I like the welded seams. I see you added some blue dots too.
