Post by Junior Knight »

I have a cruse-a-matic in my 67..in shifts smooth but fast...before I get to a good speed, its in high gear. Is this normal? :hmm:

It is for my F250 with a C6.
If I romp on it it will down shift. How about yours?
If I am accelerating with a heavy foot it will stay in lower gears longer, but if I'm just being gentle, it shift into high almost right away.

You can adjust the modulator valve by removing the vac hose and inserting a small screwdriver into the vac nipple. Clockwise will lengthen the shift pattern, counter-clockwise will shorten the shift pattern.

Like 1/4 to 1/2 a turn then test drive if memory serves me correct.
