What makes a highboy different than a F-250 4x4

Highboy is a fictional, mostly meaningless word encompassing all 1967-1977.5 F-250 4x4's. All F-250 4x4's built during these years had the same exact suspension height when they were new. There were several different GVW suspension packages available, the heaviest included a thicker front spring pack. The heavier GVW (7700) trucks tend to sit higher than thier light weight counterparts after 30-40 years since they didn't sag as much.

While I agree with the above, some physical features include divorced transfer case, manual or power assist steering, 34" frame. It's amazing how many people think their f150 is a highboy. I've even seen 2wd's advertised as such.
