I called BG and the guy gave me this part #

I wasn't going to pay 40 bucks for something I could make on the lathe, so it just gave me the idea of the setup. If it works great if not I'll have to change out the throttle shaft. I don't see why it wouldn't, I just need to run some "trial and error" tests to get the slot the proper size.

i went to the link and the part pictured i beleive is just the stud #132-124001.
They don't show a pic of the linkage.
The 6th pic down in this link shows a BG with ford kickdown.

I got to thinking and my brother used to run a automatic, and a BG carb..
He swapped to a Toploader and a Holley.
So look what I found in a drawer of parts...
This is the BG #132-421395

Well isn't that a kick in the crotch, so the pic that jegs has with that part number isn't what it should be. I extended the slot on mine, the throttle goes about half way before the kickdown rod moves. As yet I still haven't given it a full road test.

I also nixed the trapeze and made a straight rod with heim joints. It actually has a crisp throttle response, more so than what it was. Here's a pic.

Okay, so if anyone is interested to know. This setup did not work, just took the truck for a spin around the block and it wouldn't shift in to 3rd. Therefore, to use the old cliche, back to the drawing board.
