My '71 has a bone stock 302, with a 4 speed T-18, and 3:55's and the tires that I was running were 31"s. It'll get off the line alright, and the cruising RPMs weren't terrible (around 2250-2300 @ 60 IIRC).

I've had two different f100s w/ 390s that would get 16-18mpg on a regular basis & sometimes 20 with a tailwind 8) . Both had 9.5/1 comp.,2 1/2" dual exhaust, a welltuned Qjet carb, & 2.75 rear gears. 2100rpm on the highway (and we ain't got many hills here) :wink: . I was literally called a liar for posting this once before :x , by the same guy who said he had a 4wd f250 with a 390 & 4.11 gears that would get 16 mpg, hmm :hmm:

There goes BobbyFord with "stock" again. :D your truck is about as stock as mine is "modified." :lol: :lol: :P
