T85N 3 speed with overdrive tranny

Post by wareaglef100 »

Anyone know where I can get what some call the inspection plate that covers the flywheel are from underneath the powertrain?? I've got a 1970 F100 3 on the tree 360.

I have probably called some or all of this wrong.. If I apologize. Just going by what my nephew told me this weekend.

Thanks,
Steven

i have an inspection plate that came off of a T18. it fits np435 also. i might have a generic picture. it isnt a flate plate. it is a half circle looking thing.

Should that also fit my tranny? If I'm not mistaken, mine should be like a half circle as well.

Would that fit my T85N with overdrive transmission? I was given the FOMOCO part# from Bill on FTF, but cannot remember it right now. Thought I found one in SD, but the guy said something like it fit on a 360/390, but with only an automatic transmission. Not calling the guy a liar, but I would believe Bill as it relates to anything on a Ford...
