Hi folks ! New member with a '68 Ranger !

Post by MJD »

:D

Hi, I am all smiles since I have just found this site, and have a 2 day old purchase 1968 Ranger F-250. Wheee.... :P
This Ranger is a 2-tone white and teal green kinda ....I think the paint code says "MD" on the door tag. Is that a clue anyone here can help me out with ? I know it was a real pretty color when new...I have always wanted an original one, and hope to get this one that way more. It has an automatic and 390, and the VIN is : F25HRD27276.
Always hope to hear from any other fellow members who might help me out, love to hear from you. Thanks for your time and input.
I love this truck.... :)
I also have a '74 we bought new...parrot orange with 360, it is an Explorer, 134,000 miles, still use on the farm ...
Sure glad to find this site, can't wait to read more here as time goes. I am retired, still driving part time school bus route, and former farmer with old IH tractors !!

Thanks for any advice, etc., from Wyo.,

Welcome from California

You can decode your VIN in the Tech section, here is the one for the '68:

I appreciate all the welcomes ! The '68 tech site is great. Looking up my serial number again tomorrow to find out more of the truck I have.
One of you wrote you have a '68 Ranger too...a CS ? What is that ?
I did find out of the other tech site about our pickup having a 390 and built in May, '68 at San Jose, CA. I think it is cool to find out stuff like that.
And, thank you for your info and time ......
