Howdy

Post by ChewToy »

I just took ownership of a F250 4x4 last night 27 Oct 2010. It will begin a new life in the unforgiving land of West Texas.

Already I have found this website very helpful. In getting the truck ready for state inspection I notice the tag light not only didn’t work but it did not exist; not even a provision in the wiring harness could be found. A quick visit to Technical Articles I found the right Wiring Schematic, after a fast review I found the correct wire to tap off of.

After replacing the left headlamp and both windshield wiper blades, the beast is ready for it’s taxation… I mean inspection sticker.

Specs

F26 = F250 4WD
Y= 360 CID 2BBL (Now has a 390 4bbl)
R= SAN JOSE,CA
H@$&#* = FEBURARY 1970
131 = WHEELBASE
MT = WIMBLEDON WHITE / CANDYAPPLE RED
F260 = 6,800 LBS
5 = RED/DK RED
4 = STYLESIDE PICKUP
A = 4 SPEED NP435
B4 = DANA 60 4.10
06800 = LBS

Not new to the game, had Ford Trucks in the past but it sure does feel good to have on once again.

Other 4x4 Vehicles in the stable include:

2000 Durango R/T
M715 Kaiser/Jeep
1968 Land Rover 109” Half-Cab

Thanks so much for having a site devoted to like minded folks.
