LMC or DC Parts order
Hey guys,
Im lookin at spending about 2k on chassis/suspension parts from lmc truck or dennis carpenter..
Should I order everything from lmc or order some things from both?
The main thing is that I want the most things possible to be made in America/Canada not bloody China!
So does DC stock more American made things or are they similar to lmc?
Cheers,
Alex

Re: LMC or DC Parts order
dc is going to have more ford tooling to thier products. since they bought alot of the molds from ford. lmc does have some old ford stock though. i was in there the other day and they showed me a part that was in a ford bag. it wasnt the same exact thing on my truck. but i may have a dentside steering system on my 4wd. who and what you order is up to you though. i do know dc does have chinese stuff also. on parts they dont make. such as the horn brushes. and iheard those horn brushes were all bad.

ok, thanks for that ford man
I think I'll just go with lmc. Purely because there online catalgoue is sooo much easier to use then dc's.

Did you end up ordering with them? If so, how did it turn out? My try with them for suspension stuff was a joke.

the lmc headlight adjuster screw inserts are a pain in the fingers to install. and then i am not sure that they will stay in either. they fit way to tight. probably because they were made to metric specs and not american specs.

I got a few things from them. I ordered my rear leaf spring bushings, and a upper coil spring mount bracket. The bracket was made wrong, and wouldn't hold the spring, and the damn leaf spring bushings were too long. Luckily, I had the machinist at work mill the bushings down to fit. I"m done with LMC.

Ordered coil springs and leaf springs from LMC, Both too stiff and tall, can't adjust camber on front, currently looking for another set of coil springs that will work. If anyone has insight on accurate size coil springs for 68 f100 w/360 please let me know.

cheek, don't go to lmc. anything that is u.s. made is usually d.c. stuff anyways, and they sell it for more. if you are wanting to go with the best stuff and have the easiest time ordering try tom at "flashback f100s". he is a member here and over at "slick60s" plus he or his wife cathy actually answer the phones them selves and know their old ford trucks. i think his link is in the "links" section on this site or you can google flashback f100s. he is good people and is reasonable on prices.

I second that. Tom is a good guy to deal with and has been fair to me.
