AOD TRANS

What I would like to know guys would a Aod trans work behind a late 70's model 460. If so what years should I be looking for? Any input would be helpful

The Aod only came with a small block bell housing to my knowledge, but lentech has some pretty custom stuff where you can hook them to FE, Big Block, or even chevrolets. Or you could get the E4od and the baumann stand alone computer to run it.
1968 F100 Took the running 390 out, and installed a Built 300 with AOD.

can the aod be a floor shift auto? same question for a c6...maybe looking to convert from my t18 to an auto.

Anything can be fabbed. I have a '69 Mustang shifter on the floor of my '63 F100 Unibody. If you put the C6 in, why not just get an automatic column?

cause i got a floor shift column thats almost ready to go in the truck once i get my new tss...

and does the driveshaft need to be shortened during this conversion?

I'm not sure about the driveshaft length. Measure yours tomorrow and I'll see what mine is.

from yoke to yoke right?..then what else is need for the full conversion? cut the floor and change the pedal assembly?
