just a few more pics from the 67. Thats My daughter doing some of the welding on the new floor pans. A lot more rot that I initially thought, and had to fab up some sheetmetal patches for the floor. Discovered that the roof drip rail was the culprit, allowing water to leak in for years took its toll.

Engine and trans going back in tonite, I rattle canned the engine bay a semi flat by Krylon, just to get us up and running for this summer. more pics later,

Wow, very nice! I hope my daughter will be out in the garage welding with me when she gets old enough. You have taught her well. Are those the ford motorsport turbo swirl heads? What cam did you go with?

Yes those are the early y 302 Turbos, the price was right I traded a set of 6115 Hookers for them.

Predator Hydraulic roller lift numbers are around .570 or so, I dont have the cam card in front of me

Very nice work! Your so lucky to have that kind of help with the build. My father-son project resulted in dad doing lots of the work and paying for most of it as well. I guess that was OK though cause the son took off for college while the project progressed. It was very expensive to pay for college, and for parts and pieces for his truck. Although it's an old Chevy, I will find a picture and post it online someday! Your daughter will have one neat truck for sure!

what are you gonna do to frop the rear to level out with the crown vic?
also lets get a pict of a side shot if u can...id like to see how low it goes from stock....
one more question...did you use your original steering shaft and what adaptors did you need to get to the power rack and pinion? looks like you just cut the shaft and welded the vic shaft to it...

We do plan on dropping the back and were exploring our options, be it a c notch or hangar flip etc. The bed is coming off to be blasted so that will be the time to do that along with a Mustang tank in the back. I did use the original column after gutting it, all thats left inside is the shaft and two bearings, the original one under the directional plate and a collard shaft bearing tack welded in at the bottom. After looking at the price of heim joints I simply used the jointed shaft thats found under the dash of the Crown Vic which attaches the steering wheel to the rack, and after some modifications to size it to the round shaft of the original column it was welded on. I'll post some more pics later, the Wifey has the camera on a field trip today.

What turbo's? Are you talking about a type of head? I'm diggin the blue motor, looks like imron dark metallic blue. She's going to have some moving power.

The Y 302 or turbo swirl was an early aluminum performance head from Ford SVO. They've since been eclipsed by the later styles from Ford and aftermarket but with a little port work they can perform O.K. And they shave some weight off the front of the truck.

Paint was rattle can dupli color blue metallic with some clear

I want to take a moment to thank everyone involved with this site from those that started it to those guys like myself and (girls) that come here for inspiration and advise.
