clutch pedal spring install
Any suggestions or tricks as to how to install that big heavy duty ars clutch pedal spring in the cab? Something besides putting more elbow grease on it! It's a stiffy.

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

Right on 70_F100
I went ahead and pulled the assembly. Lo and behold if you rotate the clutch pedal past the point of where it would hit the floorboard if installed, the spring goes on without even trying to stretch it.

It's amazing how one thing can lead to another. On the good side, it kinda forces you to fix stuff that needed some attention anyway. The seats are out, the carpets out, and since I'm up in the dash, I'm gonna rearrange my instrument cluster and try to figure out what happened to the wipers!
All this because I'm sticking a 4 speed in the truck!

God bless your pointed head 70_F100, cause this is a job. No seriously, I love it and i'm sure you do too. Personally, I cant wait to put the sob on the floor in my brother David's honor, and dump the clutch and see what happens. And thats making it worthwhile!
