I've got plenty of room under my little 302 with the C-6 for a deeper pan, (it's on my "wish list" someday).
What engine you have in the truck? F-100/250/350?

This probably won't help you then? Hopefully someone else here, (Bobby maybe) can pipe in that has a BBF or an FE/C-6 combo.

Here's the best picture i have of my little 302 with the C-6, but it doesn't really show the crossmember at all...

Up until recently I had my '68 bump with a C6 with a B&M Deep pan on it. I think i had to file the leading edge of the fins down to a 45 for a little bit of clearance, but i'm not positive. It might have been the AOD before it that i had to do that to. I'll go look at the pan this afternoon to be for sure, but either way it was on there without any real issue with the front crossmember.

I just looked at mine and its a TCI cast aluminum deep pans, but I didn't have to modify it.
