My C6 came out of an 86 van, and I had it rebuilt and use type f, My trans guy said I could use mercon or dexron or type f. I'm told type F makes firmer shifts and makes the trans last longer due to less slippage.
1968 F100 Took the running 390 out, and installed a Built 300 with AOD.

Thanks j41385, I appreciate the reply & ended up goin' with the Type-F.My next question is about the Modulator
Is there any difference(s) between a C6 Modulator for the 351W V8, & the 300 I-6 ??? I'm goin' to get a new one anyhow, so I just wanted to make sure I'm getting the correct part Later!
