Good work!
Nice!

If that is the truck I'm thinking of.... it is one heck of a clean crew cab. I think the owner hangs out on powerstroke nation. So I guess next time someone asks what the heck I'm going to do with this truck, I will just point them to that video! LOL

OK.... took a little break from the project, been doing some dirtbiking...

I got the new coils in... I had miss calculated just how heavy this truck was going to be! So now I have 275's over 450's rather than the old set up which was 500's over 750"s!

Installed my injection pump and found the pump shaft hits the timming gear access cover...... so looks like I welded the backing ring on the wrong side!

Resolved my goof-up with the timing cover.... bored a hole for the pump shaft/nut to clear and then welded an outer piece to close her back up.

Figured out what to do with this oil drain line for the low pressure turbo...

I had such a tight bend that the hose just wanted to kink...

So my brother from another mother gave me an idea...

Works great!

So my timing cover issue is resolved.... I needed to install a woodruff key in my adjustable pump gear and got that done. So I had to re-set the pump timing and while I was baring the motor over I heard a loud snap! That can't be good.... apparently one of the pushrod cups got miss aligned with the adjusting ball (all my rockers still loose is why) an popped the rod to the outside of the adjusting ball effectively bending a new Hamilton push rod!

It also scored the adjusting ball..... any of you diesel guys have an extra laying around for a 12 valve?

Any thoughts as to which style alternator to use? The advantages of the Denso unit on the left is that it is a good bit smaller in size and still does 120 amps (I believe)... the Delco unit could be a 160 amp version.

I went with a Denso 180 amp alternator, size was the biggest consideration as you can see things are getting a bit crowded!
