Might take ya up on that some day. When I didn't see it in the lot, I figured it was either inside or on the road, either way's a good sign!

Re: crown vic front suspension into 67 F100 1
need a project truck for the next conversion to crown vic front and rear and engine/tranny?
This maybe what we will all have to do to keep our trucks on the road in the near future. i have noticed that at 19-22 mpg's in the cougar my fuel cost at current prices range from 10-16 cents a mile, at 12.6 mpgs in the truck it ranges between 26-36 cents per mile to operate.
and a 10 or 20 cent diference make the difference.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Re: crown vic front suspension into 67 F100 1
The good thing is most every thing you need to do this project can be harvested off an 03 or later retired C/V cop car or a wrecked civilian equivalent. Plus any auto part store has or can get parts for these C/V components you need for the conversion. Also my truck sure drives a lot better when it comes to the brakes and handling. I have to get my speedometer fixed so I am not so sure how off my MPG estimates with at being off but I know I am still getting a good bit better than the 14 MPG the 240 that was in it was getting. As soon as I can get the time to check how off the speedometer is and can composite for the differences I will recheck it and post the results.rjewkes wrote:need a project truck for the next conversion to crown vic front and rear and engine/tranny?

Finally got me a better cab and bed plus it's a Ranger with AC so I can hook that up with the compressor that came with the 4.6. Here's the Video.

FWIW, whatever ya can use from my 70 parts truck that I'm not using or have already promised away is fair game.

Hum I may have to give you a visit. There is another parts car for my VW I am looking at buying or striping in Rainbow City plus my wife is a nurse at Riverview Hospital so I have to visit your area all the time.FreakysFords wrote:Was thinking along the lines of freedad23boys wrote:Well I got such a good deal on this one price wise it will be hard to beat this one plus it is so much better than the one I have now. dad23boys,
Looking good man! Can't wait to see the "little 302" (as some folks call them) with that three on the tree on the 67!
Keep them Sand Mountain boys pointed forward!
