$ 150.00 per wheel. Is this a good deal or not? It seems to me I could buy my own sandblasting setup for that amount. For that kind of money, the wheels are not really that bad.
Comments and suggestions please.
Thanks.

ill call my friend up...he only charged me a 5th of jaeger...wheels shouldnt be a problem for his blaster and they coat as well...as for his price per wheel that depends on the color you use...(price per pound of powder)
After reading all of the responses, the balloon head at the tire store must have quoted me incorrectly. He must of meant $ 150 for all of them. They do not do it there, they send them out and it takes a week. I am going to call tommorrow and verify.

Where are you in SoCal?
$150 for all four is still steep.

$150 for all 5 is still too much. That was the comment.
Take the rusty 16.5" wheels to the mill and spend part of the $150 on a set of 16" wheels that don't need sandblasting, and that you will actually be able to buy new tires for. there went the suggestion. the hubcaps will still fit.
Agreed, WAY too much (I got mine done for $40.00 each a few years back).
And the 16.5's are getting pretty hard to find tires for...
